Federal Resources Partners with Meridian Medical Technologies to Provide Medical Countermeasures

The strategic partnership will enable Federal Resources to distribute Meridian’s portfolio of therapies used for medical chemical countermeasures.

Stevensville, MD (September 5, 2017) – Federal Resources, a leading provider of quality products and mission-critical solutions, today announced an agreement with Meridian Medical Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pfizer, Inc., that specializes in emergency care treatment options for military and civilian first responders and first receivers. Under the terms of the agreement, Federal Resources is granted the rights to market and distribute Meridian’s product portfolio of medical countermeasures to potential end-user customers, including federal, state, and local governments, as well as non-public entities throughout the U.S. and, exclusively, across various international territories and markets.

Meridian Medical Technologies has been putting emergency care treatment options into the hands of military and civilian defenders for more than 50 years. Meridian is committed to helping defend against critical, time-sensitive, life-or-death situations by providing medical countermeasures to the United States Department of Defense, Emergency Medical Services, Homeland Security, and more than 30 nations around the world. Meridian holds a federal SAFETY Act designation and certification from the Department of Homeland Security for its portfolio of auto-injectors. The SAFETY Act is intended to provide critical incentives for the development and deployment of anti-terrorism technologies by providing liability protections for sellers of qualified anti-terrorism technologies.

“The strategic relationship with Federal Resources represents a powerful opportunity for Meridian to significantly expand its footprint in key markets across the globe and expand access to customers who need protection against chemical nerve agent poisoning,” says Tom Handel, Meridian’s General Manager and President. “For years, Federal Resources has demonstrated its ability to leverage resources, expertise, and solutions to lead its major market segments and we’re eager to collaborate and define new opportunities as we strive to continue serving a broader range of customers with industry-leading solutions.”

“With geopolitical instability on the rise, Federal Resources is a trusted partner and one that many Ministries of Defense and Ministries of Health turn to,” says Robert McWilliams, CEO of Federal Resources. “Meridian’s technologies, products, and solutions are designed to prepare and equip emergency responders for challenging medical situations which perfectly supports and complements Federal Resources’ established CBRN market and the company’s mission to keep its military and first-responders safe on the frontline.”

Federal Resources and Meridian Medical Technologies can be found at DSEI in England between 12-15 September 2017 at Stand N3-496.
