Vulcane is a dual camera video system designed to provide the vehicle driver a field of view in the event that the windshield or the driver’s vision block has become obscured or shattered or during limited illumination (night-time, low light, full black-out operation) by streaming a fast frame video feed to a tablet/display screen mounted in front of the driver or to a set of live stream glasses/goggles. The system can be mounted in a variety of orientations and powered from vehicle or battery sources. It utilizes Visible & FLIR Technology cameras that egresses up to four video streams from the mobile unit mounted in/on the vehicle to the driver, the vehicle occupants, and out to any other configured display on the network. The Vulcane provides C2 and situational awareness data as well as a live-stream video during terrestrial or maritime reconnaissance & security operations through a tactical mesh network radio and/or an LTE connection via ATAK. Vulcane is an ATAK plug in and the Vulcane MOPT & MOPC2 are integrated with The MAGTF Common Hand held – MCH Program of Record.
